I am a senior technologist at NASA Kennedy Space Center and the co-founder of the Swamp Works - an innovation environment. We have been working on additive automated construction since 2014 and Steven's work at MIT in this domain captured our attention. He was at the leading edge of this research area and his imagination and ability to build prototypes is inspiring.  I recently watched his PhD defense recording which was full of enthusiasm and accomplishment.  I decided to reach out him, since I was curious where he was and what he was doing. Unfortunately I learned that he had passed. His work has inspired many and it will change the world as we go forward as a human race. We are looking at ways to build infrastructure and habitats on the Moon and beyond.
