Other Adventures

International Man of Mystery
Steve has had adventures all over the world, but what was most amazing to me was that he would always make an effort to meet up, even if he was only in town for a very short time. He dropped by while I was living in Houston and visited both Boston and The Netherlands to see my wife Ciara and I. We’ve also had a few more escapades together, to Yosemite National Park in California and in Roatan, Honduras.
As I reflect on the adventures we’ve shared, the common thread is how curiosity was the driving force for Steve. He would go out of his way to try new things and have novel experiences including eating the Dutch delicacy of pickled herring, driving two hours away from Yosemite to the middle of nowhere to explore the recently-discovered Crowley Lake Stone Columns, boarding a homemade submarine and descending 2000 ft below the surface or digging for authentic pirate treasure on remote islands. I also learned that he has a love for dogs, or at least our dog Wyatt, who was always thrilled to see Steve whenever he would come to visit.
