I moved out to San Francisco and found a great adventure buddy in Steve! On one of our first outings, we went to the Alameda flea market. Steve was in heaven with all the weird stuff - he bought a giant glass drum (?) of sorts, which he turned into a crazy lamp that used and displayed a massive amount of electricity (see picture) - I bought a weird wall hanging with wooden ducks, which I subsequently made him hang in my apartment for me. It was an interesting sight driving back in his minicooper (side story - this was the second car he bought after someone stole his credit card a few months previously, and bought car! They caught the guy thanks in part to Steve's detective work.). Steve and I also had another great day in SF during the fires around thanksgiving 2018. Everywhere was smokey, so we went to the SF MoMA and walked around for a while. Starving, we went to the restaurant downstairs which we had not realized was Michelin rated, and got an incredible, but tiny meal. Still starving, we then decided to get second lunch at "dickens christmas eve" which was kind of like stumbling into a giant Harry potter world?! We fenced each other, made fairy pins, ate pheasant, did calligraphy and looked at 1800's technology - it was random to say the least. We ended the day by going to the SF HipHop dance festival at the palace of fine arts, and capped it off with about 30 minutes of clubbing before we called it a day. Below are pictures of Steve's lamp (2018), Steve at the Apple holiday party 2018 (Steve is wearing a prop hat the exact color of the greenscreen, making the top of his head disappear), and Steve getting a drink at my engagement celebration (July 2018).
